“If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going”

As I spent time reflecting on my journey, I looked back even further at the people and environments that shaped me as a child. It’s safe to say that my grandparents and the business they built had a profound impact on my upbringing.

Establishing themselves as tailors and clothing manufacturers across Nottingham in the 60’s meant that some of my earliest memories are running around in factories and workshops in the 90’s. Fabrics, materials, sewing machines and designs were all a part of my surroundings and allowed me to tap into my creativity in different ways. I kick myself for not learning how to sew but nonetheless I subconsciously learnt a lot that I carry with me today.

Acknowledging this part of my history makes me even more determined in what I’m building with NEEKSVISUAL as it really is waving the flag for the next generation in design!

In Memory of Sukhdev Kumar Gangotra
As I honour my Grandad following his untimely passing on April 8th 2023, I want to express my sheer gratitude for having such a loving, carefree, hard-working, pillar of the community man in my life for as long as I did. His loss has left my whole family with memories and lessons that will last a lifetime and I will make it my purpose to carry on his legacy in everything that I do.
