Four is for Foundations

Not my heart and soul turning four! But yeah, mad. Four years in and a solid foundation has been built for NEEKSVISUAL to truly fly - 60+ logos, a strong design portfolio, clean-ass website and a client network spanning across Nottingham, West Midlands and London.

This past year in particular has been momentous. ‘NEEKSVISUAL Creates’ – creative workshops for children – was born and following my brand’s official introduction to the corporate sphere ‘NEEKSVISUAL Corporate’ soon began to take shape.

Then being the English geek I am I loved the ‘Creates’ and ‘Corporate’ alliteration so much I decided to include a third division in my workshop offering and called it NEEKSVISUAL Community – but it actually turns out to be the perfect naming convention for everything else I’ll be covering!

As a result of these seeds being planted in 2023, for my fourth year in business there’s going to be a much bigger emphasis on the workshop side of things. I’ll still have my hand in designs, but don’t be too mad if you’re not voting in logo polls on my story like you used to!

I’m excited to be dedicating more of my time connecting with others – kids, workforces and people within my community – to inspire and encourage creative expression. Upcoming changes in my professional life will soon mean I will have A LOT more time and resource to dedicate to the business – a major life shift but yeah more to follow on this in March when you’ll be hearing lots more about NEEKSVISUAL on my LinkedIn (eeek!)

So yeah all in all excited! Just love seeing things unfold as they need to. I know it sounds cliché but when I took the jump to launch 4 years ago today, I honestly didn’t know what this was all going to turn into. But keeping at it for this long outside of my 9-5 means I’ve actually built something real and purposeful which could soon be what I do full-time. That’s just crazy to me.

Throwback to drawing my first logo design in my room 2 days after launching. Shout out Karan R and the Pammi’s team!

As always, I appreciate any of you that have ever paid attention to what I do or what I’ve had to say. Wishing everyone a positive and prosperous 2024!
